DriveThrough ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data when using the DriveThrough mobile app and web services.
1. Information We Collect
We practice data minimization and only collect information necessary to provide and sync your study progress:
- Guest Accounts: When you use DriveThrough as a guest, a random anonymous identifier is created. No name, email, phone number, physical address, or driving licence numbers are requested or collected.
- Email Accounts: If you choose to link an email address to sync your progress across devices, we collect only your email address. We use passwordless, one-time verification codes (OTP) sent to your inbox.
- Learning Progress & Activity: We save your learning session selections (licence classes), lesson progress, answered question statuses, mistake history, favourite question bookmarks, and exam simulation scores so you can track your exam readiness.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To track and save your progress across lessons and exam rehearsals.
- To synchronize your learning history between your devices (iPhone, iPad, Web) when signed in with your email.
- To send one-time authentication codes when you sign in or link an account.
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising networks or tracking software.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted infrastructure providers to run our services:
- Supabase: For secure authentication management and encrypted PostgreSQL database storage.
- Cloudflare: For hosting, content delivery network (CDN), serverless backend proxying, and object storage for official practice media.
- Resend: For transactional email delivery of one-time login verification codes.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated study progress directly in the app at any time by going to Settings > Account > Delete my account, or by submitting an online request on our Account Deletion page.
Upon confirmation, all progress, bookmarks, mistakes, and email records are permanently deleted from our database.
5. Children's Privacy
DriveThrough is designed for learners studying for official driving theory exams and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
